Course content
1. Environmental Law - historical and societal context of evolution of legal regulation in the world and in the Czech Republic, the role of law in environmental protection, the object, sources, constitutional basis and principles of environmental law 2. Environmental legal instruments, legal liability within the environmental protection, organization of environmental protection in the Czech Republic, Act on the environment 3. International environmental law, European Community environmental law 4. Land-use planning as a means of environmental protection 5. Environmental impact assessment, integrated pollution prevention and control 6. Right to information about the environment, public participation in environmental protection 7. Air protection (including the ozone layer protection and protection of the Earth's climate system) 8. Water protection 9. Soil and forest protection 10. Nature and landscape protection 11. Protection of flora and fauna 12. Waste and packaging management 13. Legal regulation concerning some special sources of endangerment - chemicals, industrial accidents, ionizing radiation, genetically modified organisms, natural disasters
