1. Life and ecosystems in the biosphere as a manifestation of the second law of thermodynamics 2. National economies, globalization and their impacts on the quality and health of nature 3. Limits of theories of economic value, methods of nature evaluation and conditions of sustainability 4. Methods of nature assessment for real integration of economic activities with the restoration of the natural capital

student understands the most important features of existing theories of economic value, can use them creatively in measuring the costs and benefits of basic ecosystem functions and services and in applications and decisions in specific projects and concepts of effective landscape restoration.
