The subject is designed as theoretical-practical. It introduces students to care techniques that have been used by midwives since time immemorial, but which have begun to be forgotten in modern medicine. Now these techniques and methods are returning to Czech maternity hospitals, to the complexity of caring for a woman and her baby, and this course aims to teach students these techniques.
Expertise: The student will connect already acquired theoretical knowledge with practical skills during simulations. He will be able to assess the situation, classify women and their condition into individual groups (low x high risk pregnancy) and take care of the woman accordingly. Professional skills: The student will be able to communicate in a team, delegate and receive instructions, evaluate the current situation and work with the information obtained - to compile a diagnostic / nursing / treatment process based on it. He will be ready to respond to any selected risk situations. General qualifications: Based on his professional knowledge and skills, the student is able to evaluate the current state of health and adapt the care plan to him.
