Lecture topics: 1. Social psychology as a subject. 2. Socialization of the individual. 3. Mechanisms of socialization, factors. 4. Phases of socialization (Erikson.). 5. Family, family development (transitory and non-transitional crisis). 6. Dysfunctional families. 7. Social group, dynamics. 8. Social group structure (goals, values, norms, positions, roles). 9. Social communication, constructive and destructive communication. 10. Childhood aggression. 11. Methods of social psychology. 12. The development of the "I", the development of the relationship to others. 13. Self-concept and self-evaluation, EQ. 14. Social perception, elimination of errors in social perception. 15. Group goals and working with goals, values and value ladder. 16. Social norms and working with them. 17. Social roles and positions, finding social positions. 18. Effective communication, barriers. 19. Transaction analysis. 20. Frustration and its solution.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with social psychological issues focused mainly on the social integration of the individual in society, social development of the individual, self-knowledge and self-development, knowledge of the relationship between the individual and a small social group of which the individual is a member. The student will get acquainted with the possibilities and methods of social group management together with the adequate use of communication means in interaction with the social environment. They will get acquainted with family development and dysfunctional families. The student will also get into the issues of difficult life situations. The system of lectures completes the theoretical base of students and, together with the knowledge gained through self-study, is a prerequisite for successful practical activities in seminars.
Expertise: The student is able to explain social psychological issues focused mainly on understanding the nature of socialization of the individual, the relationship between the individual and a small social group. Can recognize and eliminate errors in social perception, analyze the structure of the social group and group dynamics and can use techniques to influence the positive development of the social group and the individual with a tendency to strengthen his identity, can effectively manage a social group. Can explain the issue of family and dysfunctional families and can eliminate the effects of dysfunctional family on individuals. Professional skills: Masters the principles of effective communication, can analyze communication barriers and adequately use the means of communication in interaction with the social environment in accordance with the goals of communication. Understands the essence of difficult life situations and is able to apply constructive and effective procedures in solving them. Competences: He has an overview of the methods of social psychology and can use them adequately.
