Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. week: Rehabilitation after gynaecological operations: pre-operational preparation, post-operational movement program. 2. week: Rehabilitation in incontinence prevention: muscle relaxation techniques of a pelvic bottom. 3. week: Rehabilitation of women after breast operation: a movement program for hospitalization and reconvalescence period. 4. week: Rehabilitation of women after breast operation : scar treatment, self-examination techniques. 5. week: Rehabilitation in pregnancy. 6. week: Rehabilitation in six-week period. 7. week: Medical rehabilitation of pre-menstruation syndrome. 8. week: Medical rehabilitation in climacterium. Seminar Topics: 1. week: Relaxation techniques of pelvic bottom muscles. 2. week: Movement program for a woman after breast operation: scar treatment, self-examination techniques. 3. week: Movement program for a woman after breast operation: movement program for reconvalescence. 4. week: Rehabilitation plan for pregnant women during specific trimesters. 5. week: Six-week period rehabilitation. Movement program: diastase of abdomen muscles, symfezeolysis. 6. week: Swimming of nurslings. 7. week: Swimming of toddlers. 8. week: Revision.

Learning outcomes
The subject is theoretically-practical with more practical focus. The subject follows the conception of midwifery and provides the skills and knowledge related to rehabilitation processes performed in the field of midwifery. The aim is providing the overall medical, social, economic and other knowledge which support better functional ability of a woman, a newborn and a nursling. The knowledge obtained can be useful for individual guidance in physical education during all age periods of a woman with a special focus on pregnancy and after-birth period.
Subject Knowledge: Student is able to describe indication areas with the possibility of rehabilitation intervention; he understands basic rehabilitation terminology and describes basic rehabilitation procedures in gynaecology and obstetrics. Professional Skills: Student is able to apply rehabilitation procedures after gynaecological operations with abdominal and vaginal approach; he is able to apply relaxation techniques used in prevention of incontinence. Student can create movement program for a woman after breast operation, a pregnant woman or a woman after the birth. He knows the swimming techniques for toddlers and nurslings.
