Lecture Topics: 1. Management, main competencies and roles of the manager, leadership, leadership styles, manager and performance, creation and management of work teams. 2. Specifics of business in health care, conditions of providing health services 3. Analysis of business environment in health care, business plan in health care, financing business in health care 4. Human resources management in a healthcare facility, managerial personnel activities, conflicts in organization and teamwork 5. Legal agendas in health care business 6. Quality assurance and safety in the provision of health services, management systems in health care 7. Information system of medical facilities 8. Social Responsibility of Medical Facilities 9. Case studies I. - outpatient facilities, case studies II. - bed facilities 10. Case study - elaboration of business plan Seminar topics: They correspond to the topics of the lectures at the skill and experience level, strengthen application proficiency in specific cases and strengthen gaining confidence in the preparation of the business plan and in preparing for leadership roles in working life. They build a comprehensive approach to the processing of economic reality with the acquisition of skills in interpersonal relationships and management in general.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject acquaints students with the knowledge of specific conditions of business of medical institutions and prepare students for management functions within the health sector. Students will be acquainted with the conditions of providing health services, ways of setting up health care facilities, financing, human resources management, management competencies in health care and information and management systems of health care facilities.
Expertise: The student is able to describe and explain the specifics of business in health care, financing, human resources management, knows managerial competencies in health care and information and management systems of health care facilities. Professional skills: The student is able to elaborate a business plan, knows and respects the conditions of providing health services, can use the legal agenda within the business in health care and is theoretically equipped in the area of management and personnel management
