Course content
1. Verification of knowledge and skills in the field of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, incl. newborn assessment? pregnancy card, laboratory results, CTG, division and difference in care and options for low risk and risk pregnancy. Legislation and possibilities in the Czech Republic and in the world. Further antenatal care? education of women when to go to the maternity hospital, preparation before birth, choice of place of birth, birth wishes / pre-expressed wishes (how to compile), support for interdisciplinary cooperation 2. Exercise techniques during pregnancy, yoga, swimming for pregnant women (theory and practical training) 3. Working with a woman - Rebozo techniques (theory and practical training) 4. Working with a woman - aromatherapy techniques (theory and practical training) 5. Working with a woman - herbal steamy (theory and practical training) 6. Simulation mastering skills in caring for a pregnant and giving birth woman focus on the first stage of childbirth, evaluation of the current state of the woman and design of suitable care techniques

Learning outcomes
The subject is designed as a theoretical unit for midwives who acquire knowledge in the field of psychoprophylaxis for childbirth. The subject is part of the complex of basic professional subjects for the field of midwifery. It introduces the student to the concept of antenatal care during a woman's pregnancy, the theoretical and educational areas of preparation for childbirth and the management of antenatal courses. The aim of the study subject is the student's ability to apply the acquired knowledge in real contact with women during their psychoprophylaxis for childbirth and when conducting antenatal courses.
Expertise: The student defines the meaning of pre-natal preparation, its aim and content, he/she understands the methodological preparation of the pre-natal preparation course, he/she has enough expertise for leading the antenatal course in pregnancy and maternity. Professional skills: The student works out the pre-natal course methodology, he/she prepares suitable physical activities for pregnant women and realize training of relief techniques in influencing labor pain. General competences: The student is prepared to lead pre-natal courses including professional counseling for women and to the family.
