Seminar topics: Seminar topics: 1. Introduction to community care, system of care for women in the Czech Republic, possibilities for cooperation, legislation and planned changes 2. The midwife's work in the community sphere ? her competences, knowledge and skills 3. Preparation of an exercise lesson - educating the woman about suitable physical activities, own exercises 4. Education of women in the prevention of inflammatory gynecological diseases and sexually transmitted diseases, creation of an educational / intervention program 5. Care of a woman and her family in case of perinatal loss - legislation, farewell options, psychological support incl. stages of grieving, communication skills 6. Simulation ? care of the woman in all stages of labor, including vaginal examination analysis, CTG and OPP evaluation, support and education of the woman in non-pharmacological methods of pain relief in the first stage of labor, induction of labor, treatment of possible injuries and treatment of the newborn; the student evaluates the physiology, suspicion or pathology during childbirth the entire time 7. Learning outcomes
|
The course is part of the profiling basis of the Midwifery program. A substantial part is devoted to primary care, its organization in the system of our health care and the position of midwife in outpatient care. In community-based care, students focus on working alone in a woman's community, working with a woman's family. Emphasis is placed on education in family planning, prevention of communicable diseases, health education and other programs that are of great importance to the health of the entire community. Within the community, students focus on working with other subjects that aim to tailor professional care to the current needs of community members, especially women and their families
Expertise: The student demonstrates broad knowledge in the field of primary care for a woman. Defines the position of midwife in primary care. It demonstrates broad knowledge of the educational process. Professional skills: The student can identify risk factors in the life of a woman and her family. The student is able to assess the natural environment of a woman, her family and the whole community. The student is able to apply the educational process focused on a woman, her environment, community and family on a specific professional topic. General competences: The student is able to communicate comprehensibly and convincingly to a woman and her family about the nature of professional problems and propose solutions.
