Course content
Lecture topics: 1. Illness and its causes. 2. Death and posthumous changes. 3. Regressive changes. 4. Blood circulation failure. Onkopatologie. 5. Pathology of breast and pregnancy. 6. Pathology of female genitalia. Pathological conditions in gynecology and obstetrics. Pathology of the nervous system and sensory organs. Seminar topics: 1. Pathology, its importance and position in medicine. 2. Congenital malformations and regressive changes of female genitalia. 3. Female genital inflammation. 4. HPV infection and cervical cancer. 5. CNS and PNS tumors. Tumors of the uterus and ovaries. 6. Pathology of pregnancy, trophoblastic disease. Breast Pathology.

Learning outcomes
The subject is conceived as theoretical. The student will become after completing the course general overview about the causes of diseases, regressive and metabolic changes and cancer diseases. Students will also get an overview about the methods of processing materials intended for histological examination, diagnostic methods used in routine practice, including special methods used in the field (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, electron microscopy, molecular biological methods). Special attention is paid to pathological changes of female genitalia, breast and pregnancy.
Expertise: Students are able to know basic medical terminology, they can define pathophysiology of individual diseases. Professional skills: The student understands the terminology and understands the basic pathophysiological mechanisms. He/she understands the complex position of pathology in the therapeutic prevention process. General competences: The student is able to communicate comprehensibly and convincingly to the woman about the nature of professional problems and to propose their solution

Credit test multiple choise with 50% success. Exam: oral exam by form of answers for 3 questions from lectures areas.
