Learning outcomes
At the end of studies in the follow-up masters' degree in teaching, students take a state exam in pedagogy and psychology (one subject). The SE in pedagogy and psychology has two parts, a pedagogical part and a psychological part. The state exam in pedagogy and psychology represents the culmination of the entire pedagogical and psychological training and should demonstrate the professional competence of the future teachers. Exam requirements include knowledge of the study areas; the ability to orient oneself in given pedagogical situations (analyze them, comment on them, propose solutions or potential alternatives to solutions and their consequences and, above all, theoretically justify proposed approaches on the basis of pedagogical and psychological knowledge); knowledge of selected monographic literature (it will be necessary to bring your own list to the exam - a student portfolio of studied monographs, studies, professional articles, articles and research reports). When considering solutions to presented pedagogical situations, students focus on their theoretical background so that they are also able to analyze the given situation in a well-founded theoretical manner from a pedagogical and psychological point of view. Recommended literature is added for each part, eventually also advanced literature. It is up to each student to choose which author they prefer, interest is in the reasoning of choice.
