Seminar Topics: 1. week: Pathology: its importance and the status in medicine. 2. week: Metabolic defects: diabetes mellitus 3. week: Patophysiological basis of inflammations. 4. week: The effect of hormones on bone tissues. The subject provides the overview of the causes developing illness/diseases/disorders, regressive and metabolic changes, inflammations and tumours. Students will also know the methods of material processing in histological examination, diagnostic methods used in everyday activities and basic patophysiological mechanisms.
Subject Knowledge: Student gets the basic overview of general pathology and the pathology of basic organ systems. Professional Skills: Student knows basic medical terminology and understands the importance of pathology in health care, science and research. |
