Course content
General scope of professional training VI: Gynecological workplaces of inpatient care (gynecology, gynecology, intensive care, gynecological surgery rooms), obstetric care facilities (delivery room, postpartum department, neonatal department, risk and pathological pregnancy department, neonatal intensive care unit). Getting to know the system of primary and secondary health care in health care, health promotion, education and health promotion. Getting to know the activities of organizations operating in the field of primary care, health education and health promotion. Applying health education methods with a focus on factors affecting an individual's health and environment, principles for maintaining health and application ability in the daily life of an individual, family, group and society. Content of professional practice: - Organization of PA work in the treatment unit - Introduction to the hygienic-epidemiological regime of the workplace - Care of the patient's bed, positioning Introduction to the documentation of the medical documentation at the workplace, the system of handling the medical documentation and its storage - Oral and written transmission of information within the nursing team - Reception, translation, release of the sick - Monitoring and orientation assessment of physiological functions - body temperature, breath, heart rate, blood pressure, body height, weight, consciousness - Care for adult hygiene, bed, children and newborns - Care for patient emptying, preparation and assistance for catheterization, care for permanent urinary catheter, care for aids, preparation and assistance with enema application, care for aids, care for incontinent patients - Nutrition and hydration care for adult and child patients; - Collection of biological material by invasive and non-invasive pathways and evaluation of results - Specific achievements and work of PA - Watching a woman at all times of her life - Monitoring of a woman before childbirth, in the delivery room, after childbirth, in the puerperium, newborn care, care of a woman and newborn in the area of lactation counseling - Care for a woman at risk and pathological pregnancy - Leading the birth of a woman with physiological birth - securing a woman at all times of birth - Participation in the evaluation of women's needs, manifestations of their disease (assessment of the overall condition of the patient, taking of the nursing history, evaluation of the client, implementation of the nursing plan, assessment of the overall care process, active participation of PA in the whole process of woman care, evaluation of the effectiveness of provided nursing care.

The practice is based on the conceptual model of WHO health determinants, which is oriented both to the area of health promotion and secondary prevention of the disease and to the training and mastering of basic nursing, diagnostic and therapeutic activities in inpatient gynecological - obstetric nursing care facilities. Practice takes place under the direct guidance of a professional mentor and academic staff supervision.
Expertise: The student will understand the possibilities, conditions and limitations of the use of theory, methods of the field in practice. He knows the system of work organization in the workplace, where he practices. He has the expertise to conduct physiological delivery independently. He / she is able to effectively use in practice acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills of Midwifery. Professional skills: The student is able to solve problems in the field using the expert knowledge based on a defined task. He knows the educational process and can use it in practice. He / she is able to separate physiological delivery independently. He / she gains additional professional knowledge, skills and competences on the basis of practical experience and is able to evaluate the situation. General competences: The student is able to communicate clearly and convincingly his / her own professional opinions and experience to experts and the wider public. Can work in a team of health professionals, communicating at a professional level.

Method of verification study results: - Theoretical-practical exam and complex socre of the student (mentor and academic staff) - Written score of the mentor - Check of the accomplished performances in the LOGBOOK - demonstration of fulfillment of all requirements according to Announcement of Ministry of Health Czech reublic No. 55/2011 Sb. about the activities of healthcare workers and other professional workers, §5 Midwife. Additional requirements for the student - 100% passing of hours of practical training - Keeping of the LOGBOOK
