Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. Characteristics of social perception, patterns of social perception, components of perception, errors in assessment, recommendations for quality social perception of the manager. 2. Communication, concept of communication, communication context, types of communication, communication goals, principles of effective communication, barriers of communication, bad habits and mistakes in communication, individual communication skills of a manager, negotiation as a method of individual action within PR. 3. Structure of social group-goals, values, social norms, social role, social position, PR characteristics, PR subjects, use and goals of PR, PR tools, PR hospitals. 4. Image manager, creating impressions - "Impression Management", creating impressions as part of everyday life, building an image, taking care of it and defending it, prerequisites for a manager's function. Seminar Topics: They correspond to the topics of lectures in the skill and experience level, they strengthen the application efficiency in specific cases.

Learning outcomes
The subject of managerial psychology is focused on the issue of management of social groups in health care and develops thematic areas related to social perception, relationship problems of two or more individuals with respect to social and personal development. Emphasis is placed not only on verbal but also on non-verbal communication. Individual communication problems are based on theory and then practiced in application forms practically. Particular emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of communication of medical staff. An important part of the course is the issue of PR, manager and his image and assumptions of managerial function.
Expertise: The student is able to define the concept of communication, communication context and understands the importance of communication in interpersonal relations. The student also knows the principles of effective communication, communication barriers and transaction analysis principles. Student knows the essence of social perception, social group structure and PR. Professional skills: The student is able to communicate effectively, can eliminate the influence of barriers in communication, can avoid mistakes in social perception. Students can effectively manage a social group and take into account the components of the social group structure. Student can use PR tools and develop a managerial image.
