Lecture topics: 1. Anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system. 2. Planned parenthood. 3. Investigation methods in Gynecology and Obstetrics. 4. Gynecological inflammations (external, internal, STD). 5. Tumors of the reproductive system (benign, precancerous, malignant). 6. Tumors of the reproductive system (benign, precancerous, malignant). 7. Urogynecology. 8. Gynecological surgery. 9. Obstetric anatomy, fertilization. 10. Physiological pregnancy, prenatal care. 11. Physiological childbirth, puerperium. 12. High-risk and pathological pregnancies, pathology of childbirth and the puerperium. 13. High-risk and pathological pregnancies, pathology of childbirth and the puerperium. Seminar topics: 1. Primary and community care for women. 2. Nursing care for juvenile clients in gynecological clinics. 3. Nursing care for a woman with inflammatory disease of the uterus. 4. Nursing care for a woman with cancerous disease of the uterus. 5. Nursing care for a woman with cancerous disease of the uterus. 6. Nursing care for a woman undergoing gynecological surgery. 7. Nursing care for a woman undergoing gynecological surgery. 8. Nursing care for women in the system of prenatal care. 9. Nursing care for a woman with a mother with a physiological birth and the puerperium. 10. Learning outcomes
The course Selected Chapters from Nursing in Gynecology and Obstetrics is designed as theoretical - practical. It acquaints students with the concept of the field in the whole spectrum of physiological, risk and pathological conditions in gynecology and obstetrics. It uses knowledge from other interdisciplinary subjects, focusing on care provided in gynecology and obstetrics.
Expertise: The student demonstrates knowledge in the field of physiology and pathology of the reproductive system. The student explains the menstrual cycle of a woman. The student is familiar with the examination methods used in gynecology and obstetrics. The student is able to evaluate physiological pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. The student recognizes risk and pathological conditions during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. Professional skills: The student recognizes the critical condition of a woman in a gynecological clinic. The student educates the woman before gynecological surgery. The student educates pregnant women about changes in lifestyle. The student is a counselor in the field of breastfeeding. Competences: The student is able to use all the acquired knowledge in the care of women in practice. The student is able to inform women about the nature of professional problems and propose solutions.
