Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical and practical unit. It is part of a complex of subjects from clinical nursing. It characterizes clinical conditions in internal medicine in terms of nursing care and the needs of patients changed in connection with internal diseases. Gets acquainted with the specifics of diagnostics, treatment and nursing care of patients in internal medicine.
Expertise: The student knows the causes, etiology and symptoms of internal diseases. The student knows the basic procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in internal medicine. The student is able to describe the specifics of nursing care for patients with internal diseases. Professional skills: The student is able to develop a plan of nursing care in the context of the specifics of the disease in internal medicine. The student is able to develop, implement and evaluate an educational plan for patients with selected internal diseases. Competences: The student is able to clearly and convincingly provide the patient with information about the nature of professional problems and propose solutions.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course ends with a credit - elaboration of a plan of comprehensive nursing care for a patient / client with a selected internal disease and an oral exam - presentation and defense of the nursing plan by the method of problem interpretation.
