Course content
Seminar Topics: Week 1: Basic bed unit - possibilities, basic requirements for operation, specifics of gynecological and obstetric workplaces, including outpatient workplaces, reception, translation and dismissal of a woman from the health facility. Health documentation, education. Bedding, types of beds Week 2: Manipulation with bed / ward, nursing, immobilization syndrome Week 3: Epidemiological regime in bedside facilities, barrier nursing care, disinfection, sterilization, hand hygiene, possible problems Week 4: Hygiene care for women after gynecologists and puerperium departments, specifics of women's hygiene, newborn bath, hygiene after emptying of MM, TS, possible problems Week 5: Emptying of TS, klyzma, nursing care during TS emptying, possible problems 6. Week: Emptying of MM, catheterization MM, single-dose catheterization in women after gynecological surgery, during delivery, pregnant and puerperium, PMK introduction, possible problems 7. Week: Boarding in health care facilities, diets, alternative nutrition, nutrition guidelines for gynecological and porcine pregnancies, pregnant and puerperium, nursing newborn and children Week 8: Physiological functions, monitoring, evaluation and parameter recording. Techniques to measure TK, P, TT, breath, consciousness. Monitoring and evaluation of excretion. Determining possible nursing problems and their solutions. The importance of FF tracking. Week 9: Biological material and its use in diagnostics. Individual sampling techniques. Skills training. Collaboration of p / k. Most frequent sampling of biological material in prenatal care, in preparation for surgery. 10. Week: Biological material and its use in diagnostics. Individual sampling techniques. 11th week: Drug application, theoretical introduction, the most common indication groups used in gynecology, drug administration per.os, local route (in the ear, nose, per rectum, per vaginam) 12. Week: Drug administration i.m, s.c., i.v.

Learning outcomes
The subject is both theoretical and practical and it is a core subject for the study field of birth assistance. It helps develop initial skills required by the environment of professional training of a midwife. The aim of the subject is professional training for the occupation of a midwife including complex nursing care for women in various age periods of her life.
Field knowledge: The student explains the principles in performing nursing care The student knows basic professional techniques for nursing care of a woman undergoing surgery, at any age. The student knows the basic needs of the patient to provide adequate nursing care using interventions according to recommended procedures Field skills: Student performs and defends basic nursing activities (bed modification, hygiene, diet administration, application of medicaments, introduction of PMK, introduction of venous cannula, enema, etc.) Student prepares a woman for surgery (education, checking the necessary conditions for op-surgery, application of premedication, completing documentation) Student responds to the needs of women after surgery, pregnant women, mothers and puffers, chooses a suitable strategy for setting a nursing plan.
Prerequisites
1. Seminars obligatory (compulsory attendance) 2. Theoretical preparation is expected before each seminar according to the assignment 3. Fulfillment of 3 tests to a minimum of 70% 4. If the tests fail, a cross-sectional test of 75% 5. Demonstration of practical skills for the PA

Assessment methods and criteria

Active and obligatory participation in the seminars, processing and defending two case studies during the semester which are necessary together with a written test. Passing the test allows taking the exam at the end of the semester. The exam has a practical and a theoretical part.
