Learning outcomes
The subject introduces the basics of biophysics and its use in the field of midwifery, medical diagnostic and therapeutic methods. Students will get basic information about physical differences of individual methods and their biological effects. They will become familiar with the different types of these methods and with the instruments those are used by examinations. Another part of the subject are the basics of ultrasound diagnostics, as the first choice examination methods in gynecology and obstetrics.
Expertise: Students will know basic terminology, knowledge and essence of biophysical processes in human organism. Professional skills: The student will be able to explain selected processes taking place in the human body from the biophysics point of view and describe the principles of the function of physical devices with which he will come into contact in clinical practice.
