Learning outcomes
This course will prepare students for professional communication in English in the field of organization and development of medical facilities. The aim is to increase the efficiency of reading and listening to professional texts and their understanding, to develop productive speech skills and to extend vocabulary for communication both within individual medical and non-medical professions as well as in general professional language.
Subject Knowledge: Students will be able to describe the Czech health care system in English and compare it with selected systems of other countries. He will be able to talk about providing health care in both specific and general cases. He will understand the organization of health care and the professional education system. Subject Skills: Students will be able to read and understand professional texts, listen to and understand professional lectures and discussions, actively participate in discussions and prepare a short presentation on a given topic. Furthermore, they will be able to write a short essay on a given issue.
