Learning outcomes |
The subject deals with sexuality as a basic human need which significantly affects the individual's life and its proper understanding. Healthy and reasonable approach to reproductive health regarding sexual behavior as the element of personality structure is a prerequisite for healthy development of individuals. The aim is to get a comprehensive perspective on reproductive and sexual health of an individual during childhood, preschool and school age, as well as full reproduction period and aging. Special attention is paid to the period of adolescence in the context of sexual education in order to maintain a healthy reproduction. Students are introduced to the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases which significantly affect reproductive health.
Subject Knowledge: Students know the current state of sexual and reproductive health in the Czech Republic; they can describe the importance and development of sexuality among the individuals from the ontogenetic point. They also have the knowledge about the methods of education for planned parenthood considering the age of the clients. They are informed about reproductive and sexual rights of men and women. Professional Skills: Students can prepare a project/ a plan of a lecture / a workshop on reproductive and sexual health for selected communities. They have practical experience with lecturing on reproduction topics. |
