Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. week: Health care for a client in conservation stomatology 1hour 2. week: Health care in paedostomatology 1 hour 3. week: Health care for a patient with parodonthosis 1 hour 4. week: Health care fo ra patient with prosthetics 1 hour 5. week: Health care for a patient after a teeth extraction 1 hour 6. week: Health care for a patient with a tumour in the oral cavity or tongue 1 hour 7. week: Health care in gerontostomatology. 1 hour Seminar Topics: 1. week: Care after the oral cavity in nursing training, physical examination of the cavity by a nurse. 1 hour 2. week: Correct hygiene of the oral cavity of a child, adult, the elderly, unconscious patient (possibilities of using modern tools for dental hygiene, basic and special hygiene of the oral cavity). 1 hour 3. week: Education in preventive programs in the Czech Republic dealing with dental health . 1 hour 4. week: Presentation of the seminar projects: educational materials from the students: The prevention of the tooth decays (children - preschool, kindergarten, 1. level of PS) 1hour 5. week: Presentation of the seminar projects: educational materials from the students: The prevention of the tooth decays (2. level of PS, high schools) 1 hour 6. week: Presentation of the seminar projects: educational materials from the students: The prevention of the tooth decays (adult public), correct care after prosthetics (seniors). 1 hour 7. week: Controlling week, test.

Learning outcomes
Subject provides the facts from professional clinical health care from the field of caring after an oral cavity. It teaches the preventive care in stomatology of children and adults and most common clinical states and diseases of the oral cavity. The subject also stresses the importance of nurse's educational activites regarding oral health.
Subject Knowledge: Student is able to describe the tasks of a nurse in caring after oral cavity. Student is able to describe the tasks of a nurse in prevention of diseases of the oral cavity. Student is able to describe the specifics of health care for the most common clinical states in stomatology. Professional Skills: Student is able to make the evaluation of the oral cavity condition. Student is able to realize basic and special hygiene in the oral cavity. Student is able to create an educational material focused on education supporting oral health and he is able to propagate it.
