Seminar topics: 1. The concept of perioperative care, its division. The role of the perioperative nurse. 2.Education in perioperative care. Multidisciplinary team. 3.Organizational and operational specifics of the operating tract. 4. Hygiene, microbiology and epidemiology in perioperative care. 5. Basics of nursing perioperative care. 6. Basics of anesthesiology and resuscitation. 7. Postoperative care and postoperative complications. 8. Basics of surgery - operations and approaches. 9.Principles of work safety in operating rooms, instrumentation. 10.Ethics of perioperative nurse's work. 11.Practical training in preparation for selected surgical procedures. 12.Practical training of assistance in small operations.

Learning outcomes |
The course introduces students to the specific care of patients undergoing surgery. Students get acquainted with perioperative patient care and provide appropriate care in the form of a nursing process. It includes training in preparation for selected surgical procedures and assistance with smaller surgical procedures.
Expertise: The student is familiar with the requirements for the operation of operating rooms. The student understands the need for strict adherence to the principles of the hygienic - epidemiological regime in the surgical tract. Professional skills: The student is able to provide nursing perioperative care to operants and can address their current needs. In cooperation with the perioperative nurse, he prepares for the operation. |
