Lecture Topics: (2 hours / week) 1. Examination methods in ophthalmology, screening. Congenital malformations of eye. 2. Inflammatory diseases of the eye. 3. Refractive errors of the eye, astigmatism and diseases of the ocular apparatus. Nursing process and nursing diagnoses in ophthalmology. 4. Specialties in nursing patients in the eye department. 5. Eye changes in systemic diseases. Eye injuries. 6. Cataract and glaucoma. Blindness and blindness.

The subject extends medical knowledge required by clinical nursing. Emphasis is placed on preventive eye care and prevention of serious visual impairment.
