|
Lecture Topics: The First Consultation: Diseases of the heart and blood vessels (congenital and acquired heart disease, ischemic heart disease: acute and chronic, dysrhythmia, defibrillation, cardioversion, cardiac insufficiency and circulation, cor pulmonale, artery diseases, acute arterial closure, venous disease, acute embolism, hypertensive disease). The Second Consultation: Respiratory system diseases (developmental respiratory diseases, inflammatory airway disease, cancer of the respiratory tract, degenerative diseases and functional). The Third Consultation: Kidney and urinary tract (abnormal formation and excretion of urine, insufficiency of excretory system: acidosis, alkalosis, uremia, metabolic disruption, renal hypertension, urinary tract infection, inflammation of kidneys, acute and chronic renal failure, urinary system tumors). The Fourth Consultation: Diabetes mellitus. Disorders of the internal environment (metabolic disorders of water and electrolytes, acid-base disturbances, other metabolic diseases: obesity, gout, hyperlipidemia). The Fifth Consultation: Diseases of the blood and blood formation (white blood components disease, leukemia, a disease of red blood components, hemolytic episodes, bleeding disorders, diseases of the spleen). The Sixth Consultation: Diseases of the endocrine glands (pituitary and hypothalamic disease, diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, adrenal disease). Acute conditions in diseases of the endocrine glands. Seminar Topics: The First Consultation: The nursing process for a patient with acute and chronic forms of coronary heart disease The nursing process for a patient with heart failure The nursing process for a patient with venous and arterial system diseases The Second Consultation: The nursing process for a patient with airway inflammation The nursing process for a patient with bronchial asthma The Third Consultation: The nursing process for a patient with glomerunefritidou and pyelonephritis The nursing process for a patient with renal insufficiency The Fourth Consultation: The nursing process for a patient with DM The nursing process for a patient with renal water, electrolyte and acid-base balance The Fifth Consultation: The nursing process for a patient with anemia The nursing process for a patient with leukemia The Sixth Consultation: The nursing process for a patient with thyroid disease and parathyroid The nursing process for a patient with endocrine diseases of cortex and medulla Self-Study Diseases of the digestive system (the diseases of the small and large intestines, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, liver disease, disorders of gallbladder and biliary tract, pancreas disease, acute pancreatitis, gastrointestinal cancers). Musculoskeletal disorders (inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the spine and joints, connective tissue disease, osteoporosis). Intoxication and elimination methods. |
The subject is designed as a theoretically-practical unit. It is a part of complex set of subjects from clinical nursing. It characterizes clinical conditions in internal medicine for the nursing care and the needs of the patients changed in connection with internal diseases. It presents the specifics from the field of diagnostics, treatment and nursing care for the patients in internal medicine.
Subject Knowledge: Student knows the causes, etiology and symptoms of internal diseases. He knows the basic procedures for diagnosis and treatment of diseases in internal medicine. Student is able to describe the specifics of nursing care for the patients with internal diseases. Professional Skills: Students can develop a plan of a nursing care in the context of the specifics of the disease in internal medicine. Students can develop, implement and evaluate an educational plan for the patients with selected internal diseases.
