Course content
Framework scope of practice: A general nurse can perform, without expert supervision, on the basis of a doctor's or dentist's indication of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitation, urgent, palliative and dispensary care activities. In doing so, it prepares patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and performs or assists or provides nursing care during and after these procedures based on the indication of the doctor: " establishing a nursing care plan for a patient with a particular medical diagnosis, " sampling of biological material, incl. invasive sampling, " drug delivery per os, " injections (intradermal, subcutaneous, intravenous, intramuscular) " providing peripheral venous access, " assistance in securing central venous inputs " assistance in the preparation and administration of infusions, transfusions, " assistance in patients with drainage, drainage systems, wound care, wound dressing, sterile table preparation, assistance in special examinations in internal and surgical fields, " assistance with dressing, " assistance in introducing gastric and duodenal probes, " patient puncture assistance " care for the patient with stoma, care for chronic wounds, incl. pressure sores, " monitoring physiological needs, measuring oxygen saturation, " preparing the patient for surgery, caring for the patient after surgery, " preparation of aids for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures " monitoring in adult patients using standardized measurement techniques " acceptance, control and storage of medicinal products.

Learning outcomes
Professional practice is focused on nurse work in internal and surgical wards, students work under the direct guidance of a mentor. Based on the fulfillment of the general nurse's profession, the number of hours of professional experience may be reduced for students / Decree No. 39/2005 coll. , they practice the profession of nurse.
Expertise: The student demonstrates knowledge from nursing procedures and the theory of nursing, which can be applied in practice through nursing plans and nursing interventions. Professional skills: The student is able to implement nursing care by the nursing process method, is able to work with medical documentation and is a valid member of the medical team.

The prerequisite for getting credits is the creation of a standard according to the assignment and verification by an audit in nursing practice, keeping of the Book of professional training and score pf the mentor.
