Artificial lung ventilation 4. Disorders and diseases of the renal system in intensive care. Elimination methods. 5. Homeostasis disorders. 6. Sepse and septic shock. 7. Polytrauma 8. Acute conditions in gynecology and obstetrics. Acute conditions in pediatrics Seminar topics 1. Care of the patient in the intensive care department 2. The needs of the patient in intensive care 3. Basic monitoring procedures used in intensive care 4. Complex nursing care in intensive and resuscitation medicine connected with providing invasive inputs 5. Specifics of patient care associated with application of transfusion and infusion products in intensive and resuscitative medicine 6. Nutrition of patients (enteral, parenteral, specific dietary recommendations in intensive and resuscitation care) 7. Complex nursing care for the respiratory tract in intensive and resuscitative medicine 8. Scoring systems in intensive care Expertise: The student is acquainted with the issue of providing highly specialized nursing care in intensive and resuscitation care departments. The student knows the specific needs of intensive care patients. He knows basic monitoring invasive and non-invasive procedures, in intensive care. The student has the theoretical knowledge about the specification of transfusion and infusion preparations and nutrition of patients in intensive care. Field skills: The student is able to provide basic nursing care to patients in intensive care units. Can measure physiological functions in intensive care. The student is able to care for his / her intensive caregiver. General competencies: The student is able to perform nursing activities in accordance with Decree No. 55 / 2011Sb., Which stipulates the activities of healthcare workers and other specialists in the intensive care department.

The subject is conceived as theoretical and practical. The content of the subject is the core of professional nursing skills, focusing on the specifics of nursing care for patients in intensive care. The student will have the theoretical knowledge to perform dependent and independent activities of the nurse, on the basis of which he / she will be able to carry out performances in compliance with valid legislation and competencies for nurses. Individual nursing techniques and techniques are taught with respect to the specifics of providing nursing care in intensive care in accordance with the principles of the nursing process and the holistic concept of nursing care.
Subject Knowledge: Student knows the causes, aetiology and the symptoms of internal disorders. Student knows the basic procedures of diagnostics and treatment of the disorders in inner medicine. Student is able to describe the specifics of a nursing care after the patients with internal disorders. Professional Skills: Student is able to create a nursing care plan regarding the context of the disorder specifics in internal fields. Student can create, realize and evaluate educational plan for the patients with selected internal disorder. |
