3. year. Professional Training V. and VI.: Training in Winter semester is focused on the area of bed wards, clinical facilities of internal medicine and surgical fields, the focus is also put on so called small fields, such as dermatology, stomatosurgery, ophthalmology and ORL Students will know the specifics and organization of work at these departments, they will understand the cooperation in nursing teams, dealing with medical documentation and providing care by a certain nursing process. The part of the training is also the introduction with the organization of work at the operation rooms and professional ambulatory departments, which are the part of bed wards. In Summer semester the professional training is focused on the area of bed wards and clinical workplaces of intensive, urgent and special care, for example: ARD, IC, Emergency, Infection and Oncological department. Student will train the ways of providing the care in special nursing units, students will train basic, special and highly professional health care participating in nursing process under the professional supervision of experienced nurses and mentors. They will improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills of providing urgent and intensive care to the patients/clients, they will improve their communication with the patients and they will know how to deal with medical documentation.

Before starting the professional training the student will have to fulfil health and fitness capability requirement and vaccination against transmittable diseases in accordance with current legal norms, undergo educational seminar of work security and fire protection by the FHS. A credit requirement of the IP is 100% attendance of the assigned training place. (Read the list of work places for the training in the semesters). The IP also requires the managing of the record book of professional training, the evidence of practical activities and tasks necessary for the educational process covering study program. It will need the overview of performed and confirmed professional training including the evaluation from the supervisor of the training. Requirement for passing the exam is receiving the test in approptiate semesters. Requirements fulfillment is confirmed by a professional assistant and a mentor or the chief nurse of the assigned medical facility recorded in the Log book of a professional training showing the evaluation of students. The exam is practically-theoretical and it takes place at clinical facilities under the supervision of a professional assistant. |
