Course content
- Establishing a plan of nursing care for a patient with a certain medical diagnosis - Application of oxygen and medication to the airways - Oral drug delivery - Application of drugs to the skin, rectum, conjunctival sac - Administration of drugs s.c. - Administration of drugs i.m. - Assistance with re-bandages - Assistance with the administration of i.v. drugs, including infusions - Assistance in the treatment of peripheral venous catheter - Patient education - Positioning of immobile patients - Verticalization of patients - Rehabilitation treatment of the patient in bed - Breathing rehabilitation, including expectoration training - Practice using compensatory aids - Walking training - Lower limb bandages - Activities related to pressure ulcer prevention - Pain monitoring in adult patients using standardized measurement techniques - Assistance in carrying out activities related to the discharge of a patient from hospitalization or to his / her transfer to another workplace within the hospital - Activities related to the care of the dying patient - Dead body care activities - Acceptance, control and storage of medicinal products (except for addictive substances) - Acceptance, inspection and storage of medical devices and laundry - Desinfection of medical devices and their preparation for sterilization

Learning outcomes
Professional training is oriented on deepening the knowledge and skills of nursing activities in inpatient and outpatient facilities. Identification of bio-psycho-social needs of clients and their evaluation. Introduction to operation of internal and surgical treatment unit.
Expertise: The student demonstrates knowledge of nursing procedures and the theory of nursing, which can be applied in practice through nursing plans and nursing interventions. Professional skills: The student is able to realize nursing care by the method of nursing process, is able to work with medical documentation and is a valid member of the medical team.

The condition for obtaining credits is 100% participation in the prescribed practice, keeping of the Book of professional practice and score of the mentor. Working with the nursing record according to the instructions of the guarantor of professional training.
