|
Seminar Topics: 1st consultation: Work organization of the nurse, nursing unit and its components, bed for the sick and its treatment, laundry, room equipment, signaling, care for the patient / client environment. Basal stimulation. 2nd consultation: Reception, translation and discharge of the patient, (documentation, forms, modern systems of medical documentation), vision, types of visions, nursing visit guidance, visibility assistance, personal data protection. Hygienic care (morning and evening toilets, total bath, hair washing on the bed, baby's bath), handling the patient (from bed to bathroom, bed), mobilization, pressure ulcers. Caring for a dead body. Exercise Topics: 3rd Consultation: Nutrition and Eating Disease Feeding System in Hospital Facilities. The use of basal stimulation elements in the practice of the Sister. 4th Consultation: Urine and stool emptying. Medication. Aplication of injections. Simulation Center.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject is conceived as theoretical and practical. The content of the course creates the core of the professional skills of nurses and belongs to the complex of basic vocational subjects. Students will have theoretical knowledge to perform dependent and independent nurse activities, based on which they will be able to implement performance in accordance with applicable legislation for nurses. Individual nursing procedures and techniques are taught in accordance with the principles of nursing process and holistic conception of nursing care.
Expertise: The student has theoretical knowledge to perform practical nursing procedures in accordance with the competences of the general nurse according to valid legislation. The student is able to describe nursing procedures in individual areas including care for the elderly, their importance, preparation and care of the patient before, during the performance / activity / procedure and after the performance / activity / procedure. The student is able to describe the negative impacts of improperly performed nursing procedures on human health. Professional skills: Student practically demonstrates individual nursing procedures. The student demonstrates manual dexterity in performing practical procedures and techniques in the field of dependent, independent and synergistic nurse activities, taking into account the patient's individual needs and safety.

Credit: Min. 80% active participation in consultations. Passing the credit test min. 75% - verification of theoretical knowledge. Verification of practical professional skills by elaboration and presentation of recommended procedure of nursing care of patient / client.
