1/ The course acquaints students with the place of professional practice, excursion around the medical facility, explanation of the logistics of the hospital and the continuity of individual workplaces. 2/ Organization of professional practice through mentoring, meeting with mentors, assigning mentors, planning services. 3/ Explanation of the rules of professional practice, keeping the Professional Practice Record Book, evaluation of professional practice, explanation of supervision. 4/ Specifics of a students' work in a standard inpatient ward, familiarization with medical documentation, organization of work in a nursing unit, rules for creating nursing plans (examples). 5/ Specification of the students' work in the ICU and in ambulatory operations, familiarization with medical documentation, organization of work, creation of nursing plans (examples).

Student is familiar with the organization of professional practice within the inpatient and outpatient healthcare facility. Student is familiar with the principles of mentoring and the method of evaluation of professional practice by the mentor and the academician. Students are taught how to work with the Notebook of Professional Practice. Professional practice I. takes place only at the Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem, o. z., KZ a.s. Professional practice is divided into 80 hours.
Expertise: Student demonstrates knowledge of nursing procedures and nursing theory, that can be applied in practice through nursing plans and nursing interventions. Professional skills: Student can implement nursing care using the nursing process method, can work with medical documentation and will be a valid member of the medical team. General qualifications: Student is able to apply theoretical knowledge and manual skills in natural conditions, is able to communicate with the client and with members of the medical team.
