The subject "Communication" follows the knowledge received in the subjects "Psychology" and "Education" and it develops the topics of relationship problems of two and more individuals with the focus on a social character development. The focus is put on verbal and also non-verbal communication. Some communication problems are supported with a woman theory which is afterwards trained including practical application models. The special focus is put on the differences in communication of a medical staff with the patients. The subject also covers the solutions to psychosocial conflicts in some development stages and it provides the knowledge and experience with interaction in health care. The subject also deals with the issues of interpersonal conflicts and differences in communication with handicapped and lower adaptable individuals.
Subject Knowledge: Student is able to define the term of communication, communication context and he understands the importance of communication in interpersonal relationship. Student also knows the rules of effective communication, the barriers of communication and principles of transaction analysis. Professional Skills: Student is able to create an effective contact with a patient/client, he is able to apply the rules of effective communication, he knows potential barriers in communication and he can eliminate them. He is able to see the mistakes in social perception and effectively prevent them. He is able to use constructive ways of communication and problem solving.
