Course content
Seminar Topics: The First Consultation: Introduction to e-Learning: Functions and types of e-learning system, access to e-learning at MU (Moodle) including other faculties with similar orientation (MEFANET). MS-Office for the advanced: Copying formats, Ctrl + H using in compensation, PowerPoint (slide transitions, animations). Word: Dividing the document into sections and different types of section page numbering, headings and content generation, generation of the quotes and literature reviews. The Second Consultation: Excel: Automatic sequence filling, using anchors, copying with the lock symbol, multicriteria data sorting function = sum, selected text and logic functions, the bar graph, circle, line, point and charts modifying: scaling, changing axis description IS in health care and in hospitals (application examples). Self-Study: There are available study materials (documents, presentations, videos) in the Moodle and Web FWS (for Study / Study materials). Topics: Revision of basic knowledge in the field of IT: Information and its units, HW and SW, the principles of work on the Internet. General principles and trends in E-health, EHR (EPR): electronic health (patient) record, the standards (HL7). Principles and examples of telemedicine application.

Learning outcomes
The subject aims to teach the user's and professional approach to information systems, computing and it introduces the possibilities of its application in health care. The subject provides the basis for the application of various software files, word processing and data processing.
Subject Knowledge: Students know modern possibilities of IS (information technology in general) in the field of health and social care. They will master the basic concepts associated with the issue of e-health and telemedicine. Professional Skills: Students can master the advanced level of computer technology in commercially available computer applications.

The basic requirement is the attendance (min. 80% contact-class participation). The credit will be granted on the basis of practical examination (the knowledge and computer skills demonstration).
