Course content
Seminar topics: 1. Repeating the basic knowledge of IT: Information and its units, HW and SW. 2. E-learning: functions and types of e-learning system. MS-Office for advanced learners: copy formats, use of Ctrl+H for replacements, PowerPoint (slide transitions, use of animations). 3. Word. 4. Citation and literature review generation. 5. Excel auto-fill sequences, use of anchor partitions, copying using lock symbol, multi-criteria data sorting. 6. Information Systems (IS) in Healthcare. 7. Concept of eHealth. 8. Internet principles, browsers, DNS, viruses and antiviruses, e-mail. 9. Access to e-learning at the faculty (Moodle) or at other faculties with a similar focus (MEFANET). 10. Dividing the document into sections and different types of page numbering in sections, headings and content generation. 11. Excel: functions = sum, selected text and logic functions, bar, circle, line, point graph. 12. Graph editing - scale changes, axis description changes. 13. IS in hospitals (functions, examples). 14. Principles and examples of the use of telemedicine.

Learning outcomes
The course is designed to teach user and professional approach to informatics, computer technology and to introduce the possibilities of its use in health care. It will provide a basis for the use of various software files, word processing and data processing.
Expertise: Students will learn about modern possibilities of using IS (information technology in general) in the field of health and social care. They will master the basic concepts related to e-health and telemedicine. Professional skills: Students will be able to use computer technology at an advanced level in commonly available computer applications. General competencies: Students are able to use informatics and IS for their field of study (especially for the production of their bachelor thesis), and know the principles of their use in practice.
