Seminar Topics: 1. week: The selection of a topic of a bachelor's thesis. The types of a bachelor's thesis, research methods. Formal editing of the bachelor's thesis, citation norms 2. week: The content and the extent of the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis. 3. week: The research in the EBP databases, their structure and application, searching options. 4. week: The discussion about the selecting of statistic methods suitable for the analysis of the issues. 5. week: The form and the structure of the empiric part of the bachelor's thesis. 6. week: The presentation of the data (results), discussion about a bachelor's thesis.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject introduces the students with the requirements of the bachelor's thesis. It provides information about the types and structure of the bachelor's thesis, about the methodology of research, it formulates individual aims of the thesis, methods of data analysis and it teaches the student how to interpret the results. The focus is put on the author's citations in professional and research papers, on the discussion of the topic including the project result. The subject teaches the student basic steps of research process, result evaluation and their presentation
Subject Knowledge: Student knows formal requirements of the bachelor's thesis editing He knows the types of bachelor's projects He knows the schedule of a bachelor's thesis preparation Student is able to use basic statistic methods for creating the empiric part of the bachelor's thesis. Professional Skills: He can operate with databases EBP based on a selected topic He knows the application of research result, he can compare them with his own results during the presentation He creates argumentation during the preparation for the defence of the bachelor's thesis.
