Learning outcomes
|
The course includes all the essential components of language teaching: oral and written expression, reading comprehension, pronunciation and reading, vocabulary within the topics.
Professional Knowledge: The student will acquire basic English terminology related to the hospital environment. The student will be able to describe parts of the body, various diseases, medical devices, hospital departments, and healthcare personnel. The student will learn the most important phrases for communication with patients and recommendations for educating patients within their scope of competence. The student will be able to read a text describing a patient's health status and create recommendations in English using the nursing process. Professional Skills: The student will be able to communicate in English with patients about their illness, refer them to the correct healthcare facility and specialist. The student will be able to create an educational plan for English-speaking patients.
