The course includes all important parts of language education: oral and written manifestation, text understanding, reading and pronunciation training, professional vocabulary training covering the following topics:
Subject Knowledge: Students will learn approximately 100 words and phrases from the selected topics. Student is able to explain the aspects of his or her work, special disciplines in obstetrics, a nursing process and qualification requirements, he is able to describe a reproduction system and its function, explain the process of pregnancy and birth including the complications, he is able to interview a pregnant woman regarding her present state and feelings, he can answer typical patient's questions. Professional Skills: Student is able to lead simple discussions on selected topics, he is able to choose correct models of speech while approaching a patient, he is able to give some advice to the patients; he can retell the text, write a short report and fill in the form covering admission/treatment process/health condition.
