Lecture Topics: 1. consultation: The topic of law, creation and system of the laws in the Czech Republic. Offences in the medical care field. 2. consultation: Responsibility for the medical care, labout law /code: basic regulations. Criminal law and its basics. The basic of the offence law. Self-Study: The Czech Constitution, The Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. Legal norms in the Czech Republic and the EU and their relation to medical care. Family law, social care for citizens and the system of social security in the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes |
The subject is the part of a basic group of subjects. It provides basic information about the law and legislative in the system of health and social care including the rights and duties of the medical professions, clients and the government. Students will know basic law terminology and get the overview of the legal system in the Czech Republic and the EU, and they will know the relationship between legislative and executive power in the medical and social care system.

They understand the relationship between Czech and European law systems and the relationship between legislative and executive powers in the system of medical and social care. |
