Learning outcomes |
The study subject Basics of musculoskeletal sonography for physiotherapists will be designed as an introduction to the issue of musculoskeletal sonography of adults in the "POCUS - point of care sonography" format. The course will first discuss the physical foundations of this investigative method, including the possibilities of different types of imaging and practical use. The relevant (sono)anatomy and outline of the basic examination procedures of the sonographic examination of individual regions of the musculoskeletal system will be discussed. The participants of the course will be introduced to the form of sonographic imaging of various easily differentiated pathologies (joint effusion and gross morphological changes). The theoretical knowledge from the first part of the lesson will then be discussed and demonstrated practically to the course participants. The theoretical background for the course Fundamentals of musculoskeletal sonography for physiotherapists will be available for download from STAG for course participants.
