Lecture topics: 1. consultation Speech therapy (introduction to the subject, classification and etiology of speech impairments, possibilities of therapy, specifics of education of individuals with impaired communication ability), surdopedics (introduction to the subject, classification and etiology of hearing impairments, specifics of education of people with hearing impairment). Typhlopedics (introduction to the subject, classification and etiology of visual defects, specifics of upbringing and education of people with visual impairment)., Psychopedia (introduction to the subject, classification and etiology of mental handicap, specifics of upbringing and education of mentally handicapped individuals). Practical introduction to various types of speech defects - recordings, videos, surdopedy - compensatory aids Typhlopedy - compensatory aids, psychopedia - social learning, alternative communication. Seminar topics: 2. consultation Somatopaedia (introduction, classification and etiology of physical disabilities and health impairments, specifics of education of individuals with physical disabilities), Partial deficiencies (introduction, classification and etiology of learning disorders and ADHD, ADD, specifics of education of individuals with non-partial deficiencies) . Learning outcomes |
The subject acquaints students with basic knowledge of particular fields of special education. It enables students to fulfill one of the basic prerequisites for their future profession - caring for the mentally and mentally disabled. It teaches the development of communication and cognitive processes.
Expertise: Within the framework of theoretical knowledge students demonstrate the ability to characterize individual fields of special education, to use professional terminology related to the issue, the ability to describe basic educational and training procedures for different types of disabilities. Professional skills: Students are able to propose adjustments to the environment, didactic aids, toys and children's game rules for given types of disabilities. Students are able to apply theoretical knowledge into practice. |
