Lecture topics: 1st consultation: Types of psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic relationship and psychotherapeutic process. Methods and techniques of psychotherapy. Group psychotherapy. Individual psychotherapy. Psychotherapy in the context of rehabilitation. Self-study: Psychotherapeutic directions. Psychotherapy in the Czech Republic. Psychotherapy of somatically ill and disabled individuals. Therapist personality.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject introduces the basic psychotherapeutic directions. It focuses on individual and group psychotherapy. The aim is to understand the importance of psychotherapy in improving the quality of life of a person, to acquaint with psychological means in treatment and rehabilitation, according to the target group. To learn how to establish a relationship of trust between a therapist and a client.
Expertise: Graduates of the course are able to explain individual psychotherapeutic approaches - goals, techniques, possibilities of intervention. Professional skills: Students can choose individual or group therapy and thus improve the functioning of their patient, client. Can establish a relationship of trust between the therapist and the patient, the client with respect to personality, diagnosis, social status and family background.
