Course content
Lecture Topics: 1.consultation: General psychiatry: diagnostics, therapy. Mental disorders: overview, mental anorexia and bulimia, their differences. Neurotic disorders: classification, case study, reaction to stress. 2.consultation: Affective disorders: depression, bipolar disorder, case study, diagnostic criteria. Schizophrenias: classification, diagnostic criteria. Organic mental disorders: secondary, primary, dementia, delirium. Self-Study: Acute states and legal aspects in psychiatry. Specifics of mental disorders of children and youth, child's autism.

Learning outcomes
The subject is theoretical. It introduces general psychiatry and possible diagnostics of atherapy. It provides information on legal aspects connected with mental disorders and it shows the importance of physiotherapy as a part of treatment.
Subject Knowledge: Students can recognize clinical symptoms of mental disorders; they respect their specifics in old and young age. Theyc an describe basic diagnostic methods and therapeutic options in psychiatry. Subject Skills: Student can consider legal aspects and explain the importance of physiotherapy in psychiatry as a part of treatment of mental disorders.
