Learning outcomes
The course is concipated as theoretical - practical. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the problems of health systems, organizations in health care and social systems in the Czech Republic and the EU context. Students will gain a comprehensive overview of current developments in the field in our country and international comparison. Students will use their knowledge and skills in the performance of managerial functions in health care. Students will be able to manage the interface between health services and other segments. The course acquaints students with the system of multi-source financing of health service providers in the Czech Republic.
Expertise: Student demonstrates knowledge of health care systems in international comparison, including historical determinants. Demonstrates knowledge in the management of health care in the Czech Republic and demonstrates knowledge in the use of management methods and other tools for successful management of the company. Professional skills: Student is able to explain the concepts of health care, can describe the system of health care facilities, clarify the principle of health care financing in the Czech Republic. Student is able to realize an effective process of system organization, its development with respect to new trends. He knows the legal framework, provision of health and social services and their financing. Student is able to apply and critically reflect basic knowledge bases, goals, approaches in the field of health policy creation and implementation in the Czech Republic General eligibility: Students are able to critically reflect existing approaches and participate in conceptual activities in the field of health care management.
