Learning outcomes
The subject is designed as theoretically-practical, and it is based on anatomy and neural system physiology. This knowledge is th major condition for passing this clinical subject. It introduces the students to the core of specified functional neural systems and the types of their disorders. It gives basic information about the causes, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of neural system diseases. The aim is to develop understanding of the processes in the neural system including special examinations in neurology which is the condition for applying the concepts and methods of physiotherapy on neurophysiological basis.
Subject Knowledge: Student can describe basic mechanisms of neurological diseases origin including special examination in neurology which is the condition for application of the concepts and methods of physiotherapy on neurological basis. He /she knows specialized terminology. Subject Skills: Student knows the issues of special neurology, he /she can examine peripheral and central neural system from the physiotherapeutic point of view. He/she can apply obtained knowledge into physiotherapeutic concepts, methods and procedures which use in their diagnostics and application a neurological background.
