Learning outcomes
The subject provides knowledge about the application of music therapy as a communicative method, it explains the concept of receptive and active music therapy, it provides information about the application of this therapy in rehabilitation. Students use these methods in professional activities: in schools for the impaired, in orphanages and homes for the elderly and in others facilities.
Subject Knowledge : Students can describe the types of music therapy; they can explain the differences in musical dramatic forms and games. Student can choose suitable songs which are vocally appropriated to the age and the skills of a client, and they can describe the needs of a music therapist and the conditions needed for work. Subject Skills: Student can analyse the needs of a client, he/she is able to choose the correct method and type of music therapy activity, he/she respects the age, individual and other oddities of the clients and he/she can choose the right musical dramatic form or a musical game. Students also manage to interpret the chosen songs and they can accompany them with easy to use instrument. Students can plan and realize a class of music therapy for the clients of different ages.
