Course content
Lecture topics: 1st consultation Chhanges and disorders of perception. Attention and consciousness disorders. Disorders of emotivity, affectivity, emotions. Impaired instincts, instincts, behavior. Disorders of thought, speech. Sleep Disorders. Personality and behavior disorders. Neurotic disorders Self-study: Schizophrenia. Eating disorders. Psychological development disorders. Mental retardation - psychological problems. Memory disorders.

Learning outcomes
The subject deepens the knowledge about mental life of man in bio-psycho-social context. The aim is to gain knowledge about mental and personality disorders. It also focuses on the professional behavior of nursing staff.
Expertise: Student knows the most common disorders of mental processes, conditions and personality disorders, is able to define them and knows their most common causes. Professional skills: Student is able to work with individuals with mental disorders and individuals with personality disorders, they can predict their behavior and eliminate problems.
