Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. consultation: Itroduction, etiopatogenesis of diseases in internal medicine, basic examination methods in internal medicine. 2. consultation: Treatment procedures in internal medicine, general symptomatology: geriatrics issues. Cardiovascular system diseases, respiratory system: geriatrics issues. 3. consultation: Digestive system diseases: geriatrics issues. Accidents in internal field. Seminar Topics: 1. consultation: Examination of basic physiological functions. Examination of the cardiac patients. ECG - basic technical data. Self-Study: Spirometrics, spiroergometrics, load ergometry, echocardiography. Internship at the coronary unit. Internship at the angioline.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to create some theoretical basis for physiotherapy. It conveys the knowledge of general disease symptoms and introduces treatment methods and acute disease states. It stresses the importance of prevention. The aim is to convey some basic knowledge considering examination methods, clinical symptoms and treatment methods applied for internal diseases.
Subject Knowledge: Student can describe basic examination procedures in internal medicine and explain the nature of specified disorders. Subject Skills: Student can propose physiotherapy program based on obtained knowledge including the secondary prevention of ICHS based on the clasification of cardiacs, diabetics, asthmatic clients including geriatric specifics.
