Course content
Lecture topics: 1. Introduction. 2. Examination in cardiology. 3. Heart diseases with emphasis on coronary heart disease. 4. Atherosclerosis risk factors and their prevention, rehabilitation of cardiac patients. 5. Circulation diseases. 6. Blood diseases. 7. Examination of respiratory function, respiratory system diseases, rehabilitation of lungs diseases. 8. Examination of respiratory function, respiratory system diseases, rehabilitation of lungs diseases 9. Respiratory Physiotherapy, drainage methods, balneologic procedures. 10. Revision. Seminar topics: 1. - 3. Examination of basic physiologic function, with the emphasis on correct measuring of TK in different positions, during exercise, measurement of heart rate and pulse, breathing rate, respiratory assessment. 4. - 6. Examination of cardiac patients , the basics of ECG assessment, pressure tests - ergometry, lung examination- spirometry, spiroergometry - all of them with the emphasis on an interpretation of the results towards an exercise plan ,and stating of training pulse and rehabilitation plan of cardiac patient. 7. - 9. Methods of respiratory physiotherapy, autogenous drainage, other drainage techniques, internship in specialized institutions of function examination and cardiologic diagnostics. 10. Revision.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide the theoretical basics of Symptomatology of the most often internal diseases and their effect on physical and cognitive condition, briefly introduce students to examination and medical healing methods in the most common internal diseases, to provide specific knowledge about some of these diseases and to introduce students in more details to the possibilities of non - pharmacological treatments, especially with possibilities of regime precaution, physiotherapy, ergotherapy, physical therapy and balneology in the most common internal diseases. The first part is given to general symptomatology diseases and also to diseases of cardiovascular and respiratory system.
Subject Knowledge: Student can independently present the range of knowledge and skills about topics extent of lectures or to which he is pointed out in lectures. Subject Skills: Student can measure blood pressure, heart frequency and pulls at a rest and also during an exercise. student can work out or state an individual training frequency for rehabilitation of cardiac patient, can recommend suitable exercise for cardiac patient according to the results of pressure test and other examinations, student can use the autogenous drainage, can instruct the use of breathing rehabilitation utilities.
