Learning outcomes
It is the basic subject of the profiling base of the study program. It acquaints students with the pathogenesis of functional disorders of the locomotor system, methodologies used in rehabilitation and physiotherapeutic procedures in individual clinical fields. Students will apply this knowledge in practice. The aim of the course is to apply the knowledge of individual procedures and methodologies in individual clinical disciplines, to realize the peculiarities and uniqueness of these procedures and to apply the right choice of physiotherapeutic procedure according to the clinical disease.
Expertise: The student demonstrates broad knowledge of joint function in normal and pathological situations. It also demonstrates theoretical knowledge of basic principles of examination and therapeutic procedures and knowledge of advanced techniques of examination and mobilization of the pelvis and spine. Professional skills: Students are able to describe the behavior and function of the joint in normal and pathological condition. They can examine and treat joints of the axial apparatus (pelvis and spine) using elements and techniques of examination and mobilization of joints according to prof. Lewita.
