Lecture Topics: 1st consultation: Work hygiene - goals, methods of work, realization in practice. Physical, chemical and biological factors in the working environment, their impact on health and preventive. Health risk assessment, hazardous work, medical preventive examinations. Hygiene of work in individual activities within physiotherapy. Physiology of work. Physical, sensory, mental stress at work. Ergonomics - goals, methods of work, ergonomic programs. Seminar topics: 2nd consultation: Human performance, application of anthropology in ergonomics. Local muscle load at work, adaptation to working conditions. Prevention of workload and stress, ergonomics of work place. Influence of load handling on organism. Ergonomics of disabled people. Self-study: Load handling, ergonomic job adjustment principles; Diseases of DNJZ and their prevention; Intervention programs and health promotion in the workplace

The course is conceived as theoretical - practical. Students will be acquainted with the evaluation of working conditions, physical, chemical and biological factors of the working environment of their influence on health, assessment of health risks, categorization of work, with the basics of work physiology and ergonomics, with evaluation of physical and sensory workload and with the principles of measures to protect workers health.
Expertise: Students control the ways of identifying factors of the working environment and their impact on workers 'health, health risk assessment, work categorization, and measures to protect workers' health. Students are acquainted with the basics of physiology of work, evaluation of physical, sensory and mental stress at work and impact on the health of workers, principles of adjusting jobs and adapting working conditions to physical and psychological characteristics and abilities of employees. Students will learn about ergonomics, principles of proper handling of loads and preventive measures to protect the musculoskeletal system and prevent diseases from DNJZ and ergonomic principles of adjusting jobs and adapting working conditions to people with reduced working capacity. Professional skills: Students are able to assess health risks during work, especially to design ergonomic programs and appropriate preventive measures to protect health, especially during individual activities within physiotherapy and appropriate arrangement and adjustment of work place for people with various handicaps.

Credit: active participation in seminars, 75% success in the credit test, self-study of recommended literature, checking by electronic and individual consultations. Written processing of educational material - suitable ergonomic environment for selected diagnoses.
