The idea of the course is to familiarize students both theoretically and practically, within the skiing course, with the basics of downhill and cross-country skiing. The emphasis will be put on teaching of Czech school of skiing: downhill and slalom technique for alpine skiing and classic and skate skiing style when teaching cross-country skiing. The goal of the training is to have the ability to apply individual skiing skills when teaching skiing to disabled people.
Subject Knowledge: Students can describe and explain the specifics of downhill skiing for disabled people. Professional Skills: Students are able to apply gained knowledge when training disabled people to perform downhill skiing: skiing on the monoski; they can manage the role of a ski instructor and the track seeker when skiing with people with visual and hearing impairment. |
