The subject is structured as theoretically-practical and the analysis of individual activities make it easier for students to decide which of them they use in curative practice. It mainly comprises manual activities of crafts where the students should know their possible therapeutic effects, the ways of motivating the client to carry out the activities regarding safety principles, the ways of making use of thermoplastic splints in occupational therapy including their application to patients and also creating individual aids.
Subject Knowledge: A student can choose the art or craft technique that is suitable for the age and disorder type of the client. He is able to choose a suitable game that suits the age and a group structure of patients. He has some basic knowledge about production and application of thermoplastic splints. Professional Skills: A student can adapt individual techniques regarding the capacity, environment and the individuality of the client. He knows how to motivate the client and regulate individual techniques for him in a suitable way. He can organize a game for specific clients. |
